OPPORTUNITY - for a numerical conscientious pro-active planner to join part of a financially sound food manufacturing company that thrives on expansion
A market leading food manufacturers is seeking a highly professional production planner to join their team to which they can invest in their development as they have done their Manufacturing infrastructure. This particular company is looking for a planner to ensure that production is effectively planned to meet forecast requirements and customer due dates, in the most efficient manner maintaining high factory performance. Accurately record and monitor factory performance using Pre actor and stock management tools. Ensure that system stock is reconciled and reflects physical stock at all times with 99.5% accuracy.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager your responsibilities will include:
*Work closely with production manager for material requirement planning and finite scheduling
*Issue works orders & pick lists for production, on a daily basis
*Assist with ensuring materials are available to minimize plant downtime
*Ensure shift production managers have reconciled line stores at the end of each shift with production usage and physical stock remaining
*Monitor and record waste of product and packaging
*Improve stock management systems and run perpetual inventory
*Comply with site health and safety regulations
*Ensure that 100% Customer service level is maintained at minimal cost. Ensuring customer service levels are met.
*Constructively challenge performance - Schemes, Stock and Materials
Ideally an existing Production Planner from within the food/chilled/ambient industry you will be conversant in working to short lead times and in a challenging environment. You will need to be an excellent team player who is able to communicate effectively across all levels you will also have excellent attention to detail and be flexible in your approach.
