Process Specification Technologist (2 days a week)

This prestigious food manufacturer supplying the major multiples in a range of sectors is looking for a Product Specification Technologist on a part time basis.

You’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely management of final product specifications for all internal and retail customers using their web based systems. This will include liaising with external raw material suppliers, taking ownership of technical information and due diligence for new products being launched. You will work closely with Process and Technical teams where you will be responsible for providing technical validation for processes and new product development. This will involve generating complete product specifications as well as all supporting documentation such as quality attribute sheets, ingredient declarations, pack copy, artwork sign off and labels. You’ll also check calculations with NPD and liaise with trial teams to update processes and recipes, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring maximum product performance and efficiency.

Suit a Food Science / Technology graduate with Specifications, Technical or Process Development experience where you’ll have worked in conjunction with the UK retailers updating their web based systems. You will be great at managing multiple projects with a keen eye for detail combined with good communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.
