Mars Food UK produces leading food brands such as DOLMIO and UNCLE BEN'S. Here at Kings Lynn, a recent £25m investment really shows our commitment to producing these iconic products here in Norfolk. And to help support our growth, we’re now looking for 10 more Production Operators to join our team.
Our Production Operators run automated and manual packaging equipment and need to be able to identify and resolve any basic mechanical operational issues. You will play an essential part in helping us to maintain and achieve our high levels of product quality while running an efficient and cost-effective operation.
Ideally you will have hands-on experience gained in a similar manufacturing role. If that’s in food or FMCG production, fantastic! A background in a related manufacturing operation would be really good too. You’ll need GSCE English and Maths, with basic IT skills and some experience of mechanical systems, fault-finding and lean manufacturing would also help. A FLT licence would be useful too. The opportunity to grow within Mars is real. So we need people able to learn quickly, who can show they can progress through the organisation.
Starting salary for the Production Operator role will depend on experience and shift pattern. Benefits include bonus, pension, life assurance and health insurance. We also offer comprehensive training and development, from skill-specific formal courses to on-the-job coaching.
There’s actually more to Mars than most people know. A family-owned company with £24 billion worldwide annual sales, we employ almost 4,000 people in the UK across six key segments: Chocolate; Petcare; Drinks; Symbioscience; Gum and Confections, and Food. Since 1932 we've been producing much-loved brands here including SNICKERS, GALAXY, ORBIT, PEDIGREE, UNCLE BEN’S, DOLMIO and FLAVIA.
