Product Safety Manager
Holborn, Central London
£30,000 - £35,000
As Product Safety Manager, you will evaluate and advise on the risks presented by new products and their manufacture. You will audit high risk suppliers, lead product risk assessments and ensure the integrity of microbial projects. A degree in microbiology is essential, enhanced by significant experience of managing product safety within the food industry.
Supporting both the retail and supply chain food safety operations, you will work across our own label and proprietary food ranges, playing an influential role from assessment through to authorisation as safe for sale. You will develop internal training programmes, conduct surveillance and assist in writing technical guidelines, policies and positioning statements. We operate in a fast-paced retail environment, so you must also be capable of delivering audits, assessments and approvals to specific budgets and timescales.
