Site Technical & Quality Manager

North West & West Midlands£45,000 + Dependant on experience

Specialising in the production of dairy products, our client has seen significant year on year growth and now are seen as a supplier of choice by the major retailers. With ambitious plans to grow through continued product innovation, brand development and investment to increase capacity, they are now seeking experienced Technical Managers for two different sites based in the North West & the West Midlands

Reporting to the Group Technical Manager, you will manage a skilled team as well as maintain and develop key relationships with the multiple retailers, focusing on customer satisfaction and driving change. You will be responsible for ensuring technical standards and quality assurance complies to the highest level. You will be expected to lead by example with a hands on factory focussed approach. BRC, GMP, HACCP, internal & external audits will also be part of your remit.

Successful candidates will have current experience as a Technical Manager or from a strong Quality Assurance background. Candidates from an ambient or chilled background may be favoured but all applicants from a different background will be considered. Exposure to the multiple retailers is a pre requisite. Strong leadership and organisational skills and the ability to influence at a senior level will all be key. Candidates must be hands-on' managers and be able to build and maintain internal relationships. Degree educated or equivalent in a Food Technology or Science is preferable combined with an auditing and HACCP qualification.
