In this hands-on role, your primary responsibility is to develop and deliver the electrical and control elements of an integrated maintenance system and reliability improvement programme, in order to achieve agreed targets of efficiency and costs in a section of the factory. You will be a key member of the Maintenance & Reliability team and in your role you will analyse, diagnose and solve complex technical issues, as well as carry out preventative measures and improve processes to avoid such issues re-occurring. You'll also oversee planned shutdowns, managing internal and contract labour to undertake maintenance and engineering improvements in your area of responsibility.

You'll have worked in a similar role requiring technical skills in electrical and control engineering, this needn't have beenFood or production based. You'll have a technical qualification such as HNC / ONC / City & Guilds, ideally with an electrical apprenticeship, or significant experience in lieu of this. You'll be comfortable working on instrumentation, AC/DC drives, servo motors, SCADA, PLCs, networks etc. Your ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues will be first class, as will your ability to impart your knowledge within your team
