The successful candidate will have a recognised manufacturing qualification, degree level or equivalent, or have significant relevant experience, having obtained at least 5 years experience within a food manufacturing company at management level. Dairy or liquid manufacturing experience is also desired, but not essential. The candidate must also be someone who is highly motivated by continuous improvement as well as being able to demonstrate significant success in improving business performance through integrating and introducing a structured and systematic approach to manufacturing management. They must be a clear, confident and effective communicator with a strong presence and the ability to command the respect of those around them.
My client is undertaking testing to extend the shelf life of their product as they want to enter the convenience market. Reporting to the site manager, the successful candidate's responsibilities will include implementing a CI culture, ensuring KPI's are met and exceeded. They will also be responsible for creating a strategy which encompasses manufacturing methods, organisation and people development plans, as well as the associated improvement and investment activities.
Due to the high profile nature of the brand, it will be advantageous if the successful candidate has had previous experience working with a household brand name.
