Technical Manager

West Midlands£45000 to £50000 per annum

We are looking for a Technical Manager who can lead all Site Technical, Quality and Hygiene functions. Within a Senior Management position you will be expected to manage Technical & Hygiene budgets and reduce spending where possible. You will have full responsibility of the QA and Technical Teams whilst managing the Hygiene contract.You will also be expected to manage the supplier approval processes, risk assessments and auditing of suppliers. Approving and risk assessing new ingredients and packaging.You will manage company quality management and food safety systems whilst liaising with customers/ NPD / Production with regards to current and new specifications and technical issues. Managing the Accreditation of the plant to BRC/AIB/Cert ID and expected to pass all customer audits;

We are looking for engaging individuals who can liaise with personnel at all levels in various departments within the business whilst also being required to communicate with Customers and Suppliers on a regular basis.

HNC/D Degree in Food Science subject
Food industry experience
Management experience
Expert in HACCP, Quality Management systems and accreditation - BRC/AIB/cert ID
Knowledge of UK and EU food legislation
Experienced in supplier quality assurance
Good managerial training and presentation skills
