An experienced Stock Controller is required for this multi million pound business. The successful candidate must be a methodical thinker who can think quickly and efficiently at all times.
KEY DUTIES AND COMPETENCIES:
Inputs and extracts all stock information using a computer and/or paper system and verifies information on computer/paper generated reports/documents across the department.
Reviews computer generated records and reports to determine ordering requirements and suppliers performance
Liaise with suppliers where necessary to resolve order discrepancies, documentation, availability and supply including non-stock items.
In the event of holidays/sickness/absence ensure within reason that the department continues to function without detriment to the effective running of the business.
To ensure that within the stock control team, yields are measured, recorded and reported on at daily meetings
Reconciles delivery documentation against GRNs and purchase orders resolving any discrepancies
Works to improve all stockholding levels wherever possible based on demand, sales information/ forecasting, historic or other known information.
Determines and reports short dated, incorrectly rotated or surplus stocks to the Planning Manager
In conjunction with the Planning Manager, ensure attendance at all team meetings.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve the operation by improved efficiency, decreased stock holding, reduced wastage and improved communications.
Works cooperatively and jointly to ensure the quality and supply requirements of the customer and company are maintained.
Attends meetings and training sessions as required by the Operations Manager.
Complies with the policies and rules of the Company.
Strong IT skills especially in Microsoft Excel, as this is the tool that they will use throughout the majority of their working day.
Strong communication skills – they must be able to communicate across the different departments of the business.

The ability to read and write in English
