Processor Sector Board Member - BPEX
Your chance to make a real difference to the future of Agriculture and Horticulture across the UK
The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is looking for a sector expert for the BPEX Board to support its ongoing development. The Pig Levy is funded by farmers and abattoirs in the English supply chain through the collection of statutory financial levies.
BPEX Board Members assist the Chair in developing strategy, managing the financial position and ensuring effective governance. Industry experts play an active role in the sector and command the respect of their peers. The Board Member will need to be active in the English slaughtering sector, and will carry out their role with enthusiasm and encourage motivation.
BPEX Board Members are expected to make a time commitment of 2 days per month and attend all board meetings, with any additional requirements being agreed with the BPEX Chair. Remuneration is currently payable at £256 per day plus expenses.
We can offer a challenging opportunity for you to really contribute to the English pig industry and make a difference to AHDB as an organisation. You will need to be professional, flexible and adaptable in order to support the change that is required to develop the ongoing success of BPEX and AHDB.
