Following a period of restructure and consolidation, the business is looking to appoint an Operations Manager at their flagship site which has recently received a large amount of capital investment to help achieve its projected targets moving forward.
This role will report to the Site General Manager and will be responsible for driving strategy and operational performance through the site. You will have experience in transforming operational functionality through promoting a culture of continuous improvement, whilst also having a high level of experience and exposure to lean manufacturing techniques and their practical implementation into a highly automated manufacturing environment. You will have direct responsibility for large multi-functional teams working across several departments and hold full accountability for their performance.
You will be degree educated and will have spent the majority of your career working within a highly automated blue chip, manufacturing environment. You must also be driven and ambitious as this client would like any applicant to have the capability of progressing into site management within a 3 year period. As part of the senior management team, you must be credible, strategically focused and be able to communicate at a senior level. You will be a people person, with the ability to engage a large team to drive to reach business and site targets.
