Operations Team Leader
Our client, a fresh produce importer, now has a need for an Operations Team Leader.
This role will report to the Operations Manager and accountable for the following responsibilities:
Act in Operations Manager absence, regarding meetings, site visits, HR issues etc.
To assist and work along the side Ops Manager in staff rotas and shift patterns.
Making day to day decisions in transport/booking/orders related issues where required.
Co-ordinate day to day activities carried out by Ops team-daily orders, booking transport, controlling deliveries, setting up ECRs etc.
Highlight staff training needs.
Monitor development on Operations procedures.
Be able and confident in working with other departments, third party teams including Line Leaders, Pickers, and Managers.
Ensure that any individual projects given to you by Operations Manager are carried out and the objective is reached.
A busy role which needs the following skills and experience:
Must have experience in a fresh produce/Fresh Food business
UK transport/port rules/knowledge beneficial
Must have experience in leading/managing team
Excellent communication skills.
Good numerical and literacy skills.
Good accuracy & attention to detail.
Good at meeting deadlines.
Excellent Planning + organisational skills.
Good problem solving and decision making skills.
Salary circa £25k plus 2 weeks’ salary at Christmas, Healthcare, Matched Pension Contribution, 20 Days Holiday.
