THE QA MANAGER
The QA Manager is responsible for the effective management of the QC/QA team, and a key point of contact for the Site and Factory technical managers.
*Management of the QC team, including resource planning.
*Management of non conformance raised by the QC team: decision on and implementation of corrective actions, logging, trending and reporting
*Maintenance of external and internal specifications at all stages of process: all specifications to be up to date, accurate, signed and agreed with the customer
*Management of customer complaints: investigation and resolution, answers to customers, organisation of product replacement or credit when applicable.
*Regular reporting on product performance
*Monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices during production, trending and reporting
*Help with preparation for all 3rd party audits
*Corrective actions for hygiene and micro non-conformances
*Minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a similar role
*Industry knowledge within food manufacturing & fresh produce
*Proven team management experience
*Hands on experience of accreditation standards (BRC and ISO)
*Experience of internal auditing
*Ability to lead crisis situations i.e. product withdrawals & recalls
*Tenacious with a passion for the right quality
*Able to make "grey area" decisions
