Reporting to the Site QA Manager, and responsible for a small team of QA Auditors, you will be required to lead, coach, develop and inspire the team. Your role will be diverse and cover the day to day supervision of the quality function in a busy chilled food environment. This is a largely factory facing role and you will act as primary liaison between the Technical department and production teams. There will also be routine contact with suppliers and customers as the job holder will be required to support the Site Quality Manager to host audits, customer visits and first production activities.
You will be required to review process metrics, analyse and trend data, and provide oversight for KPI monitoring. You will also make recommendations for improvement where such data/trend analysis deviates from agreed standards.
You’ll support internal and external auditing processes and play an important role in the development of the quality system as well as involvement in continuous improvement activities. You will be a key point of contact for customer complaints and investigation work and be able to offer customers technical support when required.
You will have experience of operating in a QA leadership role within the food industry that includes supervision and development of small teams. A working knowledge of BRC and HACCP is essential and you will be a trained internal auditor. Knowledge & experience of food technology/microbiology is desirable. You will be passionate about delivering the highest quality standards to our customers and consumers alike, be a strong communicator and able to operate at all levels within the business hierarchy.
