An opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join one of the country’s largest food manufacturers. My client are looking for someone to join their specialist manufacturing facility on a four on, four off shift pattern, where the shifts will be two days, two nights on 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Engineering qualification or extensive engineering experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines, by prioritising workloads
  • The ability to work both individually where required, and as part of a team environment, where effective communication at all levels is essential
  • Ability to be reactive and proactive in solving problems
  • Be a strong representation of the company both internally and externally
  • A positive approach with a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgetary constraints

Some desirable qualities of the ideal candidate include

  • Experience of a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Food hygiene understanding
  • Fried meat product experience
  • A full driving licence

This is a very rewarding role, within a multi-million-pound company, established back in the 1940s. Having been established for over 70 years, they now have multiple sites throughout the United Kingdom, including the lovely location of this site. Therefore, the ideal candidate will earn £35,000 per annum, on a favourable shift pattern.
