Over the last 20 years we have built our core business, working alongside reputable farmers and suppliers, enabling us to be at the forefront of the industry. Customer service has always been something that is extremely important to Direct Meats and all employees at Direct Meats play a big part in this process. Every role is important, team work, understanding, and being able to work under pressure is key. We are currently seeking to employ a Manufacturing Supervisor. 

The Manufacturing Supervisor needs to be a highly motivated, forward thinking and driven individual to supervise the operation of a medium to high level meat processing department within a forward thinking, high end catering butchers using finest quality raw materials to produce top end processed product.

Manufacturing Factory Supervisor for multi-product outlet encompassing three main areas

1.         Mince based products (sausage, mince, burger, meatball etc.)

2.         Cured meats (gammons, bacon, ham, basic charcuterie)

3.         High Risk (further processing of cooked meats)

Responsibilities to include overall supervision of all three areas with regards HACCP, Health and Hygiene, Due Diligence, Stock control/rotation, Production schedules, Micro testing schedules, traceability, order processing, staff management and motivation.

With good organisational skills with regards to the above and the management of the workload. Communication with other departments is crucial as this department forms part of a wider organisation, with each department reliant on the other.

The Manufacturing Factory Supervisor  would be charged with maintaining the high standard already set and moving the company further forward in the future with regards NPD (new product development).

Knowledge and understanding of machinery operation, packaging, Health and Safety and compliance with FSA standards is essential.
