Quality Assurance Manager - Nights

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead and co-ordinate the work of the quality assurance teams to deliver, and implement service improvement, in line with operational day to day needs with regards to safety, quality, legality and customer requirements.
As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will direct the team to deliver the quality management system including the internal audit plan in order to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing unit, legislative, divisional and strategic requirements.
You will provide information and demonstrate operational practice in support of external audits to enable compliance with customer requirements.
You will also continue to develop the capability of the QA team through the Technical Strategy and to monitor departmental KPI's adjusting team activity to ensure targets are achieved.
You will be responsible for planning and maintaining resource utilisation in order to advise the required QA tasks and to lead and deliver a project(s) to create business effectiveness and cost efficiency.
You will build production capability and understand to achieve relevant technical requirements as well as ensure that a safe working environment exists for all employees and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the SHE Policy.
Skills & Experience
You will need a food degree or equivalent qualification and or relevant experience, internal audit experience, Intermediate Food Hygiene certificate level 3, relevant food manufacturing experience and Level 3 Health and Safety.
You will have the ability to use computer programmes including word, excel and related technical IT packages and experience with HACCP principles and practice.
You will also have knowledge of technical KPIs, basic knowledge of weight legislation, legal labelling -basic requirements and allergen awareness-implications / related to labelling.
You will have nutritional awareness, shelf life determination and awareness, knowledge of hygiene & disinfection principles, basic micro awareness and principles of risk assessment.
