Challenging and rewarding opportunities:
We have 2 openings for Team Leaders to join the our Cheese Production team at the Lockerbie site, which is one of the largest processors of milk in the UK converting over 500M litres of milk per annum into high quality fresh milk, cheese, butter and whey products. The Cheese Process Team Leaders will be responsible for delivering operational plans and setting day to day team objectives including delivery of the site business plan and resolving day to day issues/escalation points during the shift. Currently there are 2 shift patterns in operation and hours of work include weekend and shift working on a rota basis 24/7.
We're looking for someone who gets the best out of others, who will lead, coach, motivate and inspire your people to perform on a day-to-day basis. You'll be responsible for production mapping and planning with a real focus on achieving the departmental objectives which support the site business plans. Your role will also involve carrying out work environment audits, managing wastage and getting involved in project work. Above all, you will strive to drive continuous improvement at all times by taking an innovative, creative approach and using your imagination to develop ways of making things better.
Ability to make critical decisions and motivate, lead and develop:
With the proven people management and team leadership experience this role demands, you will also have experience of working in a food/factory environment and of project work. You will need to be highly PC literate, with any knowledge of SAP an advantage. It would also be ideal, but not essential, if you have a Food Technology or related qualification. What is essential is that you have an open mind and a pro-active approach towards developing your people as well as new initiatives.
