Exciting opportunity for a passionate driven foodie to join a well-established, successful, distribution and manufacturing business to sell ingredients to UK food manufacturers.

Key Accountabilities

A driven and ambitious business development manager is required to join this dynamic team and develop customer relationships selling functional ingredients. An experienced sales person, you will be negotiating contracts with new and existing customers, maximising opportunities and developing new business.  You will be working closely with fellow team members monitoring the market, the product range and competitors.  Your role will also involve working closely with NPD and technical departments on site, to maximise results and develop further business. You will be travelling regularly within the South of England and sometimes further afield within the UK.

Personal Profile

  • Commercially astute with a minimum of 2 years experience in sales
  • An excellent communicator, both face to face and on the phone
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Thrive under pressure
  • Computer literate with experience of Sage CRM and/or Sales Force as well as MS Office
  • Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Home office based, currently living anywhere south of Birmingham
