The Role

The successful applicant will be working within the Marketing Services Department providing a service to the Commercial team. They will assist in maximising sales and profits across the European territory by preparing and managing detailed product pricing, financial analysis and commercial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities of the role:

  • Manage selling prices through generating costings, preparing tenders, drafting quotations and accurately maintaining the customer price files
  • Provide accurate commercial analysis and prepare details commercial proposals for contract negotiations
  • Assist in the development, improvement and maintenance of pricing tools and profitability models
  • Administrative duties including reviewing orders without prices, checking live code notifications and general systems maintenance
  • Monthly reports maintenance including internal business reports, external customer reports and other ad hoc reports
  • Margin analysis through daily margin reviews on sales invoices and monthly analysis on margins by customer and product types
  • Work with departments to ensure all methods comply with company strategy and maximise profitability
  • Communicate and help implement pricing changes through the command chain
  • Maintain knowledge and stay abreast to developments in the industry

The Person:

Essential:

  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent (with a big emphasis on good maths results)
  • Computer literate with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sufficient gravitas and strength of personality to manage the day to day demands of 15+ pan European Account Managers
  • Ability to interact with personnel from across Europe of varying levels of seniority within the business
  • Detail orientated without compromising timelines or accuracy
  • Ability to manage tight and fluid deadlines
  • Ability to work flexibly around the varying needs of the job

Desirable:

  • Finance related qualification
  • Work experience within Accountancy/Numeracy based role

Terms and conditions, include:

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (37½ hours)

Benefits – a pension with 3% contributions, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays rising to 25 days after 5 years’ service, 2 x salary death in service benefit, health care cash plan, as well as
