Job Details
Our client is a market leader within their sector and manufactures all products at their site in the UK. A BRC AA Certification showcases the quality of production that goes into every item they create. Working closely with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for distributing their frozen products to a wide range of businesses Nationwide.
Job Role
The main responsibility for this position is the day-to-day running of all operations alongside the Operations Manager, ensuring all company targets are achieved and surpassed.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be need to have experience in the key areas below:
- Communicate with the Operations Manager to understand and set weekly targets and plans
- Assisting in the management of stock levels onsite and at their external warehouse
- Coordination of collections by the hauliers and the deliveries to local customers
- Monitor the haulier performance evaluate delivery costs alongside Operations Manager
- Relationship building is key, as will be dealing with high level customers (buyers, planners, etc.) and suppliers (hauliers)
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures as directed
- Review and manage any Health and Safety issues that arise
- Customer related queries managed and liaise with Operations Manager for any resolution
- Utilise external stock for delivery to customers where direct delivery is not possible
Personal Profile
- Experience in a logistics or supply chain management environment is beneficial
- Working with a major multiple
- Food manufacturing and supply chain knowledge is desirable
- Strong organisational skills
- Good planning and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible attitude to working hours as and when required
- Good problem-solving skills
- Customer service focused attitude
- Good level of computer literacy (MS applications, email etc.)
