From their state of the art facility they strive for the highest levels of quality to meet the ever changing needs of their broad customer base. They are currently seeking a confident, credible and experienced Head of Technical who will be key in delivering technical excellence across their largest site.
 
The Role

In this pivotal role you’ll promote the highest level of technical standards for all product ranges in line with company and customer values, leading Technical and Quality teams to ensure the best levels of quality to rival competitors and maintain their reputation as a trusted business. Through the skilled management of your team you will ensure standards are confidently maintained whilst implementing policies affecting product safety and legality in order to deliver the technical strategy. You’ll liaise closely with internal teams to support customer demands, combat any issues and reduce incidents whilst enabling teams to deliver KPI’s and business objectives.
With your technical knowledge and team spirit you’ll create a positive environment, encouraging the development of personal and company performance.
 
The Person

This role will suit an experienced Senior Technical Manager with well-rounded experience gained within the food manufacturing industry. You'll have extensive experience of working with the major multiples, understanding their systems and being able to build strong collaborative relationships.

You’ll have a strong knowledge of product development processes and food industry operations, from driving technical standards to new product launches. It is essential that you have experience of managing and implementing HACCP and BRC standards with a successful track record of driving GMP and achieving excellence. You’ll also need to have demonstrated effective team management abilities, enjoy being hands-on when needed, using fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Good organisation and project management are a must in order to succeed in this role as well as first-rate communication skills as you’ll liaising with and influencing customers and colleagues at all business levels.
