Dairy R&D Technologist, Northern Ireland

Feeling a bit stale at work? Here's a role with variety and autonomy that you can really make your own.

As Dairy R&D Technologist here, no two days will be the same.

You'll have full responsibility for product development at a manufacturing site that produces both branded and private label dairy products.

One day you'll be carrying out competitor analysis, then reformulating recipes to meet cost or nutritional guidelines. Another day might involve getting on a plane to present to customers, or visiting a supplier to look at new packaging. You'll spend time working with the factory teams on product trials and work with colleagues in finance on product costings.

So, you won't be bored, and hopefully you'll thrive off that. You should also be knowledgeable and genuinely interested in dairy product development, understanding protein structures and emulsification, probably backed up by a food science degree.

You'll be a self-starter who enjoys managing their own time and getting things done. You won't be micro-managed here but will be well supported by colleagues by on and off site. Whilst you'll be based at the site in Northern Ireland, there will be travel involved so a driving licence and car to get to the airport are needed.
