Technical Support

An exciting Technical Support vacancy within one of the largest food producers in Britain. You will develop into a key member of the Technical Team, supporting various functions within the department and gaining valuable insights into all aspects of the business.

THE BUSINESS
A reputable and ambitious Food Producer, supplying the leading supermarkets with premium food products. Our client prides themselves on creating authentically made British food, without compromise.

THE ROLE
·Monday - Friday days based role.
·Act as an integral part of the Technical Team, offering support and ensuring the smooth running of the department's functions.
·Supervise and prepare samples, swabs, air plates etc.
·Ensure all samples are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner and are logged onto the online system.
·Investigate out of specification results.
·Ensure sampling plans are maintained.
·Assist the QA Supervisor in all operations, including monthly traceabilities through collation of relevant documentation.
·Assist and shadow the Site Technical Manager, perform investigations where requested into mirco, hygiene and process control issues.
·Conduct taste panels, complete relevant paperwork and raise any issues to the Technical Manager.
·Carry out weekly KPI review.
·Assist with customer audits, internal audits and BRC preparation.
·Attend internal meeting with various departments to gain valuable experience and business insights.
·Carry out a weekly stock check of QA equipment and re-order where required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We're looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills. However, the following basic skills would be an advantage -
·A good eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work.
·Proficient IT and administrative skills.
·A passion for Food and an eagerness to develop professionally as well as personally.
·Willingness to support a variety of different functions in a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic food production environment.
·Excellent communication and presentation skills.
