To effectively manage the maintenance department ensuring optimum efficiency and utilisation is achieved.
To identify where additional development may be required and implement a succession plan to maintain the core strengths of the line and the business.
Client Details
The client is a multi-site FMCG food manufacturer with an opportunity to join the team in West Yorkshire.
Description
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the plant and all equipment is maintained to allow all manufacturing functions to comply with agreed procedures and quality standards
- To ensure Factory management and supervisors are instructed in the correct methods of machine operation
- To oversee all quality related problems in the operation of plant and equipment is logged, investigated and rectified
- Participation in HACCP and ensure implementation of control measures
- Ensure inspection and maintenance of plant and equipment is carried out regularly
- To act as a safety representative
- Leading performance management and training requirements for all of the maintenance personnel
- Ensure all preventative procedures are carried out according to plan
- Ensuring that adequate cover is provided throughout the Factory
- To oversee the control of the Shire work system
- Complete budget plans and CAPEX proposals
- Manage site based projects
- Schedule and support machinery servicing
Profile
- Main skills in Electrical/ Mechanical bias with proven background in these areas
- Multi-skilled/ cross-skilled ethos
- Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic/ trouble-shooting and resolution experience gained in a Hi-volume environment
- Maintain manufacturing equipment within an automated site and sound understanding of modern maintenance roles
- PC competent with experience of working in a planned and reactive maintenance environment

- Highly motivated and organised with the ability to perform well in a production environment
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Material Management and store control
- Ability to build good working relationships across all functions
