The Stickleback Fish Company are an ambitious well-established and expanding wholesale distributor of fresh and frozen fish products to the catering and hospitality sector. We have a strong track record of growth in recent years. The company serves its many customers 6 days a week in a geographic area in the Northern Home Counties and South East of England.

We succeed in a competitive environment by selling top quality fish and seafood products with a high degree of customer care and service and we have some significant customers in our portfolio. We also have a "can do" attitude and we strive to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities Include:

We require a talented and energised person with a winning mentality to secure new customers. This will almost always involve taking the business from an established supplier so you will need to have prepared well ahead of any prospecting visits. Our target market includes chains of pubs and restaurants, purchasing groups and catering companies as well as high volume restaurants and pubs. Experience of selling fish to such customers is desirable.

• Ability to take responsibility and work independently without close supervision.
• Strong communication skills - written and verbal with a strong attention to detail.
• Integrity to pursue agreed plans.
• Creativity for development of marketing and customer recruitment campaigns.
• An aptitude and appetite for new business development
• Administration skills to build and maintain appropriate records and systems

Package

• Salary: £28k-£35k base dependent on skills and experience plus commission based on exceeding monthly sales objectives.
