Multi Skilled Engineer

£15.82 per hour

Based out of our Wembley Manufacturing site

Full-time, 48 hours per week

The shift pattern is 5 over 7 days and the start times are from 6am

What you'll do

• Advise the Engineering Manager of any shortcomings with the equipment after work has been completed
• Advise management of any safety issues that need action
• Liaise with contractors to ensure compliance with site rules
• Conduct all work in a safe manner thereby ensuring a safe working environment for employees including good hygiene practices
• Ensure machinery is fit for purpose, and meets all safety requirements during your shift
• Administration of all required paperwork must be completed accurately, within the allocated timeframes
• In the absence of your manager, ensure all handovers and communication is fulfilled effectively and accurately

What you'll need

• Experience with food packaging machinery and preparation machinery
• Electrical Bias with mechanical skills
• Food Manufacturing experience desirable
• BTEC, City & Guilds/apprenticeship or equivalent in maintenance engineering
• Team player with good communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate good problem solving and decision making skills
• Computer literate – Microsoft Excel/ Word/ Outlook and Internet
