Production Manager required for a high-volume food manufacturing site supplying top tier foodservice businesses.

This Production Manager position will cover a 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm rotating shift pattern on a Monday to Friday basis managing a team of around 25. The site has around 10 production lines producing a range of sauces and garnishes for major foodservice brands and has recently achieved BRC AA rating. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will have a hands on approach, ensuring your team is well motivated to achieve their production targets.

This role will suit an experienced Production or Shift Manager who enjoys walking the lines, driving production through numbers and KPI's. With high volumes of products being manufactured each day efficiency is key to profitability so a background in Continuous Improvement and experience in delivering OEE improvement would be of benefit. You will assist the Operations Manager in driving production utilising short interval control to identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver production plan while ensuring health and safety of all team members
  • Look for opportunities to improve production processes
  • Train and develop team members
  • Manage staff rotas, holidays, disciplinaries etc.
