I am currently working with one of the largest independently run food businesses in Scotland, who due to growth are looking to strengthen their HR team.

This newly created HR/Recruitment role will play an important part in building a strong value led employer brand for their business by ensuring we attract, hire and retain the best employees to meet our company’s

As well as your recruitment role you will also deputize for the Head of HR, and support the department with HR administration, employee relations and performance management projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing support and advice on best practice recruitment and selection to the line and departmental managers
• Screen application forms, CV’s and provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
• Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, first-round and second-round interviews and manage all documentation
• Monitor key HR metrics, including time-to-fill, time-to-hire and source of hire
• Review recruitment software and sourcing methods to aid attraction.

Knowledge of modern apprenticeship schemes

• CIPD qualified
• Preferably a tertiary education in an HR related subject
• A strong network of professional colleagues
• experience of working in food production and/or retail environment
• Understanding of referral programs
