Client Details

This company a well recognised manufacturer that make an array of consumer products and are looking to do so in the most effective, efficient and safe way possible. They are in need of a SHEQ Coordinator to support the operation in the next phase of their safety journey. You have the chance to be instrumental in driving best safety practices by supporting the improvement of their manufacturing processes.

Description

As the SHEQ Coordinator, you will be working closely with other departments in order to drive improvement in operational safety and you will be liaising with all areas of the business in order to ensure safety adherence. You will be the driving force behind the development of a new behavioural safety programme; leading the implementation and the training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Health, Safety & Environmental activities
  • Support Operations team on emergency response issues, assist with scenario setting and training
  • Oversee product Quality Control activities
  • Maintaining all site safe systems of work and ensuring all staff are briefed and trained accordingly
  • Liaising with the HSE regarding COMAH compliance
  • All accident / incident investigations and reporting including RIDDOR if required
  • Ensuring all relevant audits are up to date and compliant and completing own audits.
  • Lead Health and Safety projects
  • Ensuring corrective actions are taking with regards to both product and H&S Compliance
  • All site risk Assessments & Accident / incident investigations and reporting
  • Management of hazardous goods & ensuring compliance
  • Active Monitoring & Contractor control
  • KPI control and reporting
  • Product checking for compliance
  • Destruction and waste management
  • Product Damage reporting
  • Maintenance of effective EHS library
  • Support the wider business/region; sharing best practice




  • Profile

    A HSE/ SHEQ professional with FMCG, logistics or chemical/hazardous experience & the following:
  • NEBOSH preferred although IOSH will be considered
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the confidence to present to management
  • Ability to make decisions fast and effectively, remaining calm under pressure
  • Keen attention to detail
