This business are in need of a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias who will be working as part of a team, leading the implementation of efficient reactive & preventative maintenance processes. This is an exciting opportunity to be able to interact cross functionally in order to improve their engineering efficiency.



Description

This business have an excellent market reputation & as a result have been able to secure more business & develop new products for key retailers. To cement their success, they have invested in new equipment & increased the site capacity. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be part of an established team & working on both mechanical & electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

To carry out day to day repair and maintenance of all equipment on site

To liaise with production to provide proactive support to ensure efficiency of production runs

To carry out all reporting and documentation as required by the engineering department

To be proactive in finding permanent solutions to engineering problems

To comply with and strongly advocate all relevant Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Environmental Legislation, and Statutory Legislation for self, contractors and others, whilst carrying out engineering activities

Profile

A Multi-skilled Engineer, ideally with experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, but experience from other fast paced sectors will be considered. The successful applicant will have:

Electrically qualified to level 3 or higher

Good working knowledge of electrical control systems, inverter drives, and pneumatic systems

Ability to work on own initiative in a responsible manner & as part of a team

Ability to work under pressure

Good communication skills and have the ability to develop strong relationships with members of staff from all departments

A hands-on approach to problem solving

Strong documentation skills when detailing actions taken

Flexible approach to working patterns and overtime working
