Hygiene Operative

We’ve got a great opportunity for a GMP / Hygiene Operative to join our team based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.  You’ll be a key team player and your key focus will be to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained throughout.

Main responsibilities

We really do aim high, so as Hygiene Team Leader you’ll be monitoring the team to ensure that the highest possible standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.  With food safety and cleanliness as top priority your resourcing plan will ensure you have the right people, with the appropriate skills, in place at all times. 

You will work closely with the Hygiene team to review equipment, highlighting damage and escalating any areas of risk where necessary, so you’ll have a strong eye for detail and the confidence to challenge where necessary.

As GMP / Hygiene Operative, you will also be required to effectively manage your workload and prioritise duties within your area at all times.  You’ll achieve this through monitoring and recording key measurements across the team including general performance and health & safety.

Ideal candidate

You’ll have experience of operating at a similar level within FMCG or similar GMP / Hygiene role and understand the value of great communication, across a diverse workforce. 

We’re also looking for you to have a detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day to day operations in relation to food safety with NVQ level 2 in both food hygiene and basic health and safety.
