The Food Technology Centre (FTC) is firmly established for over 18 years and plays a key role in transferring knowledge to the food industry and providing technical and operational support on all aspect of food manufacturing in Wales and internationally.

Whether you run a food company in Wales, work for a multinational food manufacturer, or are taking your first tentative steps to set up a food micro business – FTC is the go-to resource for support, advice and creative ideas to help get you started, expand, and find solutions to technical operational conundrums.

The FTC mission is to:

 • Stimulate innovation and support new product development which benefits food and drink

   companies

 • Share scientific, technical and other relevant information including statistics and research

 • Contribute actively towards achieving Welsh Government’s ambitious goals for the

   development of the food and drink industry in Wales

 • Respond to technical enquiries from food companies

The team at the Food Technology Centre provide a broad range of specialist support services in order to assist. The FTC is dedicated to helping food businesses grow, innovate, compete and reach new markets and provide a range of specialist support services in order to assist businesses to deal with the challenges facing the food sector. 

Whether it be new product development, product testing, third party accreditation or resolving technical issues the FTC can help throughout the process, taking your product idea and turning it into reality.
