As a growing business, Mars Care & Treats increases its supply capability, through the upgrade of factory lines and installing new lines. We have an ongoing programme of innovation, renovation and taking unnecessary costs out of the business. 

As the Process Industrialisation Senior Scientist in the Research and Development team, your key responsibility will be to ensure the implementation of significant process changes in our manufacturing sites in Europe. 

We are looking for someone to become an expert in industrialisation. Key elements include:

  • Create and review process specifications during projects. 
  • Work with R&D Technologists, Engineering and Supply colleagues to ensure the implementation of significant process changes in the Birstall and Bokros factories. 
  • Development of Best Practice for “fit for Manufacture” design and drive through interfaces with Supply and Engineering.

You’ll work closely with other R&D, Engineering and Supply colleagues to diagnose and resolve problems. Result driven you’ll seek the opportunity to apply your abilities in an environment where your opinion really counts. You’ll make informed decisions and implement change that make a real contribution to the business.

With a degree or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline, you’ll have a track record in process implementation in a food factory possible from a Material Scientist or Mechanical and Electrical Engineer background. Alternatively, we will consider those who have factory experience outside of food with proven transferable technical skills and competence.
