A UK leading FMCG manufacturer of fresh and added value pork, sausages and bacon, are actively recruiting a NPD Manager preferably with meat experience to lead their NPD projects for their Tesco account.

Your NPD knowledge is exemplary coupled with a thorough understanding of Technical and how it can impact of the delivery of your NPD projects for the Tesco account. As the NPD Manager you will report directly to the NPD Controller, you will have sole responsibility of leading on all NPD projects within the Tesco account, demonstrating to your team, internal and external key stakeholders of your extensive NPD and Technical knowledge.

You are a successful NPD Manager (preferably meat) with a minimum of 3-5 years Technical and NPD experience; you are comfortable taking and interpreting briefs from the customer and your colleagues ensuring that you and your team accurately achieve each stage of the Product Development process, from concept, sourcing raw ingredients to writing specifications online (Tesco) and offline, factory trials, chairing projects meetings, packaging, overseeing art work and leading on post launch reviews.

The successful candidate will be the 'voice' of all NPD projects for the Tesco account, 'wall flowers' needn't apply as this a high profile post within NPD team, regular travel between Hull and Norfolk will be required.


Degree 2.2 or above in a Food related subject
Experience -leading NPD projects for Tesco.
3-5 years experience strong Technical knowledge within NPD, preferably in the meat industry.
Intermediate or Advanced Food hygiene
UK full valid driving licence
Computer literate
People Management experience
Willingness to travel to Hull and Norfolk
