To support our vision and strategy we are looking for an experienced leader to join the Silver Fern Farms team in New Zealand as a Factory / Plant Manager.  Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about manufacturing quality food products and experienced in building performance based cultures that make a difference. 

Factory / Plant Manager

The Factory / Plant Manager will be responsible for leading one of Silver Fern Farm’s key processing factories of between 500 and 700 people. The role encompasses people management, engineering, and compliance and factory systems. Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, this position is critical in leading a processing team to ensure that production, quality and efficiency targets are achieved.

As a key leader within the Operations group, you will also be involved in developing and implementing practical production solutions that enable Silver Fern Farms to deliver innovative new food products to the global market.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven leadership skills
• A track record of making a difference and achieving goals
• Experience of multiple shift operations
• Sound knowledge of operational/site management within the meat/food industry
• Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills and the ability to build and support a large team
• Focus on delivering high quality products while maintaining a cost efficient factory
