Continuous Improvement Manager

Ministry of Cake has enjoyed fantastic growth over the last 5 years, supplying frozen desserts to the foodservice industry and is now operating across two sites in the South West.  Whilst the business has already adopted a number of Lean Principles and has the desire to change, it recognises that to accelerate the pace a CI Manager needs to be part of this enthusiastic, energetic and forward-thinking team.

The successful role holder will work closely with the Production Managers at both sites, Taunton and Torquay, coaching them on Lean Techniques, identifying improvement activities and ensuring their effective implementation.  They will also be responsible for contributing to the manufacturing strategy in line with business expectations.

Ideally, the candidate will be from a food manufacturing background, but will certainly have a successful background of CI implementation and an associated qualification.  It’s important that they are shop-floor focussed and can easily engage with production operatives as well as the Directors.

The salary for the role will be up circa £40,000 per annum and the hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday at predominately be based at our Taunton site.

Ministry of Cake is a progressive organisation, keen to develop our own and create opportunities for career enhancement where possible.  Finally, as well as being energetic, self-motivated and determined, the right candidate will want to gel in a fast, fun and sometimes slightly quirky organisation.  Who wouldn’t?
