The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), based at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, seeks to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of the main agriculture and horticulture sectors across the UK. AHDB is funded via statutory levies collected directly from the industry. Two of our main functions are to commission applied research programmes on the behalf of our industries and to promote effective implementation through innovative Knowledge Exchange.

We are now seeking to appoint a member of staff to the AHDB Pork team to provide technical expertise and management to the Abattoir and Pork Processing components of the AHDB Pork business plan. This interesting and wide-reaching role requires the ability to liaise and negotiate with processors, pig farmers, vets, Government and allied industry, to deliver key projects and services which assist the industry to deliver safe and traceable pork for the consumer and to safeguard the reputation of UK pork. A significant part of the job will be managing the delivery of the improved CCIR (Collection and Communication of Inspection Results) service in conjunction with the FSA and industry. Also, new levy payer

service developments arising from this. In addition, the role covers the management of the BPHS (BPEX Pig Health Scheme).
