The Site Health & Safety Manager will assist location management in facilitating compliance with local governmental regulations and with group standards and policies, in order to safeguard the company, its employees and the community with respect to Health and Safety.
The role is responsible for interacting with managers, supervisors and employees in a broad range of activities to implement and apply the company Health and Safety standards.
You will be responsible for the continued improvement and development of standards, provide guidance to managers and supervisors, ensure all incidents are properly reported and investigated, manage all H&S related communication within the business including policies, notices and safety alerts, participate in the H&S committees and constantly review site compliance.
To be considered for the role, you will be educated to degree level or have the proven ability to operate at that standard and possess a strong H&S track record within a production/manufacturing environment. You will have good working knowledge of method statements, risk assessments and permit to work systems plus an understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering processes and procedures. You will also be a holder of a recognised health & safety qualification and ideally previous line management experience.
The Site Health & Safety Manager job is based in the London / South East region and is paying c. £55,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience.
