The purpose of the TPS Engineer is to provide support, guidance and advice on enhancing and maximising the site Total Process Safety (TPS) initiative/activities.
You will prepare and participate in TPS audits to deliver improved scores on the scorecard, taking action to review and complete any actions that arise as a result in liaison with relevant colleagues. You will also be an active member of the site safety committee, participating in the safety meetings as and when required, participate in PHA (process hazards analysis) studies, assist the site meet its obligations towards complying with TIER II Guidelines and the European and site TPS goals, participate in incident investigations; suggesting and implementing remedial actions where appropriate, complete and update TPS manuals/written programs and organise, assist with and undertake TPS training with colleagues based on site and update / co-ordinate all associated training systems.
To be considered for the role, you will be educated to degree level within an engineering, safety or related discipline plus have at least one years experience within a process/production/manufacturing environment. You will have working knowledge of method statements, risk assessments and permit to work systems and be a holder of a recognised health & safety qualification.
The TPS Engineer job is based in the London / South East region and is paying c. £35,000 - £40,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience.
