QUALITY MANAGER

40 hours per week

Salary: up to £40k, Depending upon experience

Natco Foods is a multi-million pound food business based in Buckingham. We have a wide portfolio of ambient foods ranging from herbs and spices to pulses, grains, nuts, canned products, pickles, chutneys, poppadoms and we mill our own gram flour. An integral part of an international company spanning continents, Natco has more than 50 years’ experience in supplying the ingredients required for flavoursome and healthy meals. We supply most major UK supermarkets, both under private and own label categories.

We are now seeking an outstanding Quality Manager to manage the company’s Quality Management system.  As QA Manager, you will be responsible for the operational quality compliance of the production unit and QA team; ensuring products are manufactured safely and to the required company and customer agreed standards. You will be a key member of the HACCP team, responsible for internal auditing to agreed schedules, handle and respond to customer complaints including trending and reporting, management of non-conformances and implementing corrective actions, organising customer visits and third party audits, overseeing microbiological testing and equipment calibration, and assess and deliver relevant training in the department.  You will be responsible for managing all aspects of QA and QC activities, from receipt to processing of raw materials into finished products, pest control, as well as being accountable for the Quality department budget and expenses

The successful candidate will have a Food Science or Science degree (or an equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity in the Food Industry. In addition you should have recognised training / qualifications in Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety and internal auditing, and be exposed to working in an ERP based manufacturing environment. Good product knowledge and experience handling a similar range of products will be an advantage.
