This is an exciting opportunity to work for a large chilled food group who supply own branded products into all the major retailers. Producing a widely recognised label, the business is innovative and can offer a rewarding working environment.
Your role as Technical Manager is to maintain a quality management system that is fit for purpose; this entails the integration of specification, technical admin and process technology.
You will manage raw material and customer specifications ensuring they are correct and completed in a timely manner, oversee and maintain the quality systems administration, play a key role in the sites process development function, build strong relationships with all stakeholders (including customers), train, develop and engage all team members to achieve individual roles, liaise with customers and external authorities for audit, visit and incident investigation purposes plus work with the quality and wider site teams for robust, timely corrective actions.
You will have good experience in a similar senior technical / quality role within food manufacturing, most ideally chilled prepared foods. You will have excellent working knowledge of customer specifications, raw material specifications, BRC standards and retailer COP, HACCP, QMS and Food Safety. You will have a strong focus on needs of the customer, together with a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
The Technical Manager job is based in the Lincolnshire / East Anglia region and is paying £40,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.
