This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning business which produces high quality, specialist chilled products which are supplied to both retailer and wholesale businesses.
As Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the technical paperwork and completed documentation and to support the QA team in all areas.
You will promote continuous improvement of the Quality Management System, manage the checking and filing of daily food safety paperwork and electronic documentation, carry out archiving of food safety documentation and maintain the archive log, log customer complaints, carry out internal audits, be a customer contact facing during visits, meetings and inspections, carry out competency checks on CCPs, carry out goods-in checks to ensure raw material compliance, book micro and nutritional testing, partake in GMP inspections, organise the testing of equipment that requires calibration and issue concessions and record non-conformances as required.
You will possess previous QA or technical experience from a food manufacturing environment and possess a good working knowledge of/be qualified in HACCP and food safety. You will also have a background of working in a chilled or ambient product environment, most ideally prepared products such as ready meals. To succeed, you will be confident, flexible and proactive with the ability to work under pressure.
The Technical Assistant job is based in the Home Counties / London region and is paying £23,000 - £26,000. The working hours are 37.5 per week, typically starting at 10am.
