We know about food!

Tulip Ltd is the UK’s leading food solutions business, supplying all major food retailers, wholesalers and foodservice companies with a wide range of quality products. We provide consumers with a comprehensive range of products in four key mega-categories - fresh meat & sausage, bacon & gammon, cooked meat, and convenience & snacking. Our farm-to-fork operation is unique in the industry, while our strategic framework puts customers, product, efficiency and people at the heart of everything we do, all with a view to growing responsibly. As part of the Danish Crown Group, the largest pork provider in Europe and the biggest exporter of pork in the world, Tulip Ltd is well-placed to deliver its ambitious plans for sustainable growth. If you have an appetite for more, this could be the role for you.

Our site in Wednesbury is a £18m turnover site that is going through huge growth. We are currently supplying multiple retailers and foodservice sectors with chilled and frozen products and this year saw the number of customers increase further including foodservice / wholesale accounts.

With more product lines and added complexity on site in terms of daily planning and longer term planning, we now have an opportunity for a Production Planner to join the team to be a dedicated resource for planning the factory on a day to day basis. Reporting to the Planning Manager, the purpose of this role is to plan all operational activities within the factory in order to meet customer demand. You will also be co-coordinating the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. You will be planning and ordering meat required on a weekly basis to execute plans and providing daily updates in regards production, shipment schedules and conferring with line managers to determine progress of work.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a similar planning role within an FMCG organisation and someone with an additional understanding of SAP and production systems. In this extremely fast paced role, you will have strong computer skills and organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
