National Account Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful family owned chicken processing company that has been in existence since 1989 and has organically grown from a turnover of £ 4m to in excess of £ 100m. The Company now employs over 550 employees and currently serves the food service, ready to eat and ready meal manufacturing sectors.

This opportunity would suit an experienced National Account Manager with retail/food industry experience to develop and manage relationships with new and existing customers to continue with our impressive business growth.

To identify and be pro-active satisfying retail requirements for the development of new business opportunities. Working with our commercial team to develop new product ranges and driving the customer relationship forward.

You will work to develop new relationships with national retailers. You will have P & L responsibility for the accounts. The focus of the role is to build strong, commercially beneficial relationships whilst building brand visibility at the point of sale.

The role will require skills in negotiation, influencing and problem solving.

You will help identify opportunities with new customers

Successful applicant will have:

•             Minimum of 2 years experience as National Account Manager managing major retail accounts

•             Strong commercial acumen and character

•             To have real passion for success and excel at building strong interpersonal working relationships

•             Confident and able to develop and improve relationships

•             Track record of progression to date and top of your game

•             Excellent communication skills

•             Experience of poultry sector an advantage but not essential’
