The company is an innovative and fast growing prepared product business supplying the UK market and leading retailers with high quality products.
The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies.
You will train and support Area Team Leaders, ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment, ensure the safety, legality and quality of products whilst ensuring CCP’s are adhered to, manage production staff across the factory, attend weekly meetings with the Shift Manager to analyse previous week, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures, ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, pro-actively manage labour and identify skills shortage, liaise daily with Shift Manager on production targets, ensure T&A system recorded hours is updated daily and registered hours matches attendance, understand and challenge area efficiencies, waste, H&S and compliance and set a positive team example.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous production supervisory / team leading experience. A background of working in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable, most ideally fresh produce. You will possess excellent leadership skills, be a real team player and enjoy managing and developing people through positive encouragement. You will also be results-orientated with a positive attitude to drive forward continuous improvement.
The Production Supervisor job is based in the South East region and is paying c. £22,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. This is a night shift role working 8pm – 4am, however some flexibility will be required during peak times.
