Quality Assurance Manager

AS QA Manager your role will be to lead, manage and develop the QA department in order to ensure that the company produces food that is safe, legal, meets and exceeds quality standards, customer specification and COP. You will ensure the maintenance of quality and safety through effective auditing of the factory quality management system against pre-determined audit schedule. In addition you’ll be available to carry out internal and external audits when requested whilst supervising and liaising with the hygiene team in the achievement of hygiene standards. You will also participate in the training of employees in food handling, GMP and other quality and safety matters.
You will have previous experience of working in a similar role within food manufacturing as well as good people supervisory / management skills. A food related degree would be ideal, as would a good understanding of BRC / retailer technical and delivery expectations.
The QA Manager job is based in the South West / South Central region and is paying £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The hours are Monday to Friday day shifts.
