Technical Assistant - Food & Health

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Assistant in the Food & Health business unit based in our offices in Hertford.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business at the New Product Development departments of our customers, either solely or in conjunction with the designated Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pro-actively introduce products to customers either through visits or remotely from Hertford.
  2. Provide technical information and advice to all our customers within the Regional Business Unit.
  3. Develop sales aids in the form of product concepts to demonstrate the key benefits of an ingredient or a formulation.
  4. Assist in the preparation of marketing and advertising material.
  5. Maintain awareness of new developments in the technical areas for which you have responsibility.
  6. Implement company procedures as required.

You will need to have the following:

  • New product development or application experience.
  • Technical understanding of food products and the technologies used within our marketplace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally.
