The business operates from a BRC Grade A facility and supply to various wholesale and retail clients. The site is under expansion with investment coming in automation and looking for a candidate that is looking to grow with the business
Your role as Technical Assistant is to oversee BRC requirements including internal glass, hygiene and similar inspections, calibration, internal auditing, quality manual maintenance, food regulations and pack copy compliance
You will manage the technical supplier database to ensure all relevant food safety documents such as HACCP, supplier accreditation and supplier questionnaires are available, signed and in date, investigate customer complaints, carry out trending of customer complaint data, carry out BRC and internal audits as per the defined schedule, ensure measuring and monitoring devices are calibrated and carry out temperature validation of chillers and freezer as per schedule.
You will ideally be a food science / technology graduate and/or possess previous experience from a similar technical/QA position in the food manufacturing industry. You will preferably possess a good working knowledge of BRC, internal auditing, QMS, food regulations and pack copy compliance. You will also have good accuracy, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
The Technical Assistant job is based in North West region and is paying up to £25,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience.
