Reporting to the Operations Director, this role takes responsibility for the day to day running of the factory and ensuring that production is completed in accordance with factory plans and specifications, on time, in full, to the company’s extremely high quality standards and is monitored for effective performance.
You will provide clear leadership to the team, help set and maintain training and testing required to meet all technical standards, recruit appropriate factory workers as needed, assist with the organisation of rosters for factory teams, investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, set and monitor KPI’s, optimise the efficiency and utilisation of materials and people, supervise and motivate the various factory teams, provide a safe and hygienic working environment for all employees and maintain a positive safety culture on the site.
You will be an organised and motivational individual who has at least 10 years production experience within food manufacturing. You will have a strong understanding of technical and quality aspects of food production, excellent and clearly demonstrable interpersonal and people management skills, be commercially aware plus have the ability to interpret data and identify suitable actions.
The Production Manager role is based in the South Central / South West region and is paying £36,000 - £40,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 6am – 4pm.
